Trailer – STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC “Hope Trailer” for PC

CGR trailers presents a Hope trailer for the upcoming STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC for the PC from LucaArts and BioWare. Here is a short excerpt from a October 21st press release for STAR WARS: THE OLD REPUBLIC. Enjoy! In Star Wars: The Old Republic, players will explore an age thousands of years before the rise of Darth Vader when war between the Old Republic and the Sith Empire divides the galaxy. Players can choose to play as Jedi, Sith, or a variety of other classic Star Wars roles, defining their personal story and determining their path down the light or dark side of the Force. Along the way, players will befriend courageous companions who will fight at their side or possibly betray them, based on the players’ actions. Players can also choose to team up with friends to battle enemies and overcome incredible challenges using dynamic Star Wars combat.

    19. This game has in so many ways just missed the point of Star Wars all together. Instead of giving you the experience of the Star Wars Universe, they will attempt to pander to every individuals whim, and try to make the game experience somewhat level. Only problem is, there is a difference between a republic trooper and a fucking Jedi, and for good reason.

      I just wish they could do something like the KOTOR games, something with substance..

    20. @pixiekawai your watching a video that is awesome and i am pumped to play this game. this star wars game plays to all fans wants and needs without being bias. everyone can be just as good as the other but its the player who will decide who is the best. each person wants to play jedi or sith but this way it makes them want to play the others, which is smart on the game designers part. how they put this out in the game will be another decision,will the graphics and story pay live up to the fans.

    21. @MILARIEL You could be quite right, and I never ment to argue that TOR couldn’t be brilliant on it’s own accord, my point was simply that it doesn’t really live along the accord of what Star Wars is, or rather, what it originaly was. Surely, a Star Wars based MMORPG has to give a broad spectrum of classes, careers and so forth, I am just arguing that even though the video is cool, and the game too, probably, it really doesn’t have nearly as much drama as f.ex the scene between Vader and Obi-Wan

    22. This is by far the most epic trailer I have ever seen. I’m signed up on swtor.com and I swear to god, it was this trailer (mostly the ending) that really made me become a Jedi. These are the best graphics I have ever seen (yes I know the real game isn’t like that) and the victory thing at the end is EPIC! I will be a Star Wars fan until the day I die and I have a feeling that this trailer made some other people decide the same thing.
