I’m still going to see this. I agree that there’s enough material in the book for two movies, but I was worried that most of the cool action sequences (other than the chase at the beginning) would be in the (sigh) second half. Still, there’s no way in hell I’m missing this. Will look for it on kookicá now!

I feel sorry for Miss Brown and Tibb in this movie. So many guys have done that to me… not found me “suitible.” For that matter, friends have done this to me as well. At the same time, I feel sorry for Anne, since Marianna spurns her. Very tear jerking scenes. You’d have to have a heart of stone not to be moved by their plights. It’s universal agony– wanting to love and be loved.
