For anyone who’s ever wanted to take the law into their own hands and kick the butts of evildoers everywhere, Kick-Ass is the movie! It’s a film that perfectly illustrates the idea that a little determination and a lot of guts can go a long way.

Aaron Johnson stars in this movie about an unlikely super-hero, Kick-Ass, and his crime-fighting friends Hit Girl and Red Mist. You might initially assume that this is a movie for kids–full of geeky stunts and goofy humor from lonely misfits who just want someone to notice them.

While the lonely misfit part may be true, this movie is a full-on action film that will appeal to lovers of comic book style skirmishes and encounters. It’s an original story filled with great lines, great acting and some fight scenes that will leave you saying “Wow.”

It’s rated R, so you can expect some language and violence – keep the little ones occupied with something else while you’re watching. It’s definitely not for the young crowd.
However, older teens and adults who enjoy rollicking action will love it!

Critically, Kick-Ass has won some rave reviews. Critics have called it a “supremely enjoyable action film” and “the best comic book screen adaptation since The Dark Knight”. Viewers have called it a “surprisingly good movie” and “like being on a thrill ride.”

Clearly, Kick-Ass is a whopper of a movie! You’ll be impressed by the ability of the young actors in this movie–Johnson as Kick-Ass, along with Chloe Moretz (Hit-Girl) and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (Red Mist).

The combination of these three makes for a bit of humor, and a lot of action as they play off or each other’s cues to wreak havoc with the bad guys to gain a reputation as a force not to be reckoned with.

If you’re a fan of the classic, comic book style action movie, you’ll love Kick-Ass and you may even want to watch it more than once. Gather up a group of your thrill-seeking friends and watch this movie on Video on Demand.
