Does this cooler require the removal of the motherboard to install? Can I just attach this cooler onto my AM3 motherboard without removing the whole board?
polloguipasays

DAMN! This is the best instructional video on the PLANET! I only wish I would have found it 2 hours ago.
LIke you said, the instructions are ridiculous.
Without your help I would probably have given up and gone to bed.
THANK YOU for making this vid.

Will this fit in the CoolerMaster M59 case?

I have a Socket AM2 AMD cpu, On a Asus Board. Mine is not Intel,I the back plate on mine is just a standard one that is square shaped(that I have to attach my self). The retention module already came attached to the heat sink.I lost three of the four screws that attach the heat sink/retention module to the board. I cannot find them anywhere, not even at Home Depot. My PC has been down for almost a year and I need to rebuild it, Please give me a hand and tell me where I can find them.

Very useful video. The ease of installation shown here has convinced me to purchase this unit. This video should definitely be referenced in the manual or on the CoolerMaster website.

Good video, I’m waiting for UPS to deliver my Hyper 212 Plus from Newegg this Friday. It’ll be used on my new i5 Quad Core MSI P55-GD65 Windows 7/Hackintosh Rig….I plan to to some mid-level overclocking on it & this cooler should be able to handle it very well.

Youtube search on how to apply thermal paste, there is a kid that used clear plexy glass to show how each method works. Spreading is literally the worst way. Pea sized in middle(where it only needs to be).

i attached a different second fan. the sickle fan i think.. will that be ok?

@Beeheng1 You don’t have to tighten them at all. Just keep screwing until they are unable to screw further. People who really force it in are a bit stupid imo.

I’ve got this cooler – I recommend. Idle temps 21c for i5 at stock.

@owen420 I’ve got a video you should watch if you think spread method is the best.

@luanswan2002 can u tell me what cpu idle temp when using intel stock fan??
doomed151says
@Beeheng1 In my experience, you can just screw it all the way down and it will get the perfect pressure. That’s on AMD CPUs, not sure on Intels.

guys, you need to check out yaochoon’s (?) video : ‘ How Thermal Compound Spreads ‘. It shows you how bad the spread method is
