I have a 7-8 pages paper on any topic I want with comparison on the 2 films. But I don’t know what to talk about. Please help. It is best if it can revolve around the issue of today documentary, but doesn’t necessary. Thank you so much!

I wouldn’t classify Borat as a documentary
it’s a social satire
james is not a girl's name says
Both films tried to display something that is fundamental about American culture. Borat with the stereotyping; Supersize Me with obesity and consumerism over health.
Both films also used humor (Borat overzealously; Supersize Me quietly) as a backdrop for these rather uncomfortable issues. In past documentaries, especially the older ones from the 50s, were pretty bland. These got you involved right in the story, in with the characters.
But Borat isn’t much of a documentary as a satire/comedy.

James is not a girls name has the best response I think. Just compare how each reflects on American culture and habits. I remember one of the plot points in Borat is him going on a journey to marry Pamela Anderson. Like how captialism and consumption has produced efficient but also unhealthy fast food, the media has also produced certain standards of beauty and celebrity that people become attuned to. There are many more parts that could be compared – like how both the lead in Super Size Me and Borat are trying to mesh themselves in what they feel are a fundamental part of our culture. Morgan does it as an experiment, whereas Borat does it as a satire. Both seem to be going to absurd extremes – maybe in order to criticize parts of our culture. Show us the bad underneath.
