I recently accidentally activated the Windows Media Player on my computer, and now when I download music (legally) the only way my song will play is through Windows Media Player. I do not like Windows Media and I want the songs to play on my iTunes, so I can listen to them on my ipod. I have tried to get rid of it but all I really manage to do is delete the shortcut. Any words of wisdom? Thank you!

click on my computer, and navigate to your "c" drive. find a folder called program files and double click on it. near the bottom will be a folder named windows media player. right click on it and select delete.
p.s. if it says "cannot delete file because it is currently in use" restart your computer and while it is rebooting, continually press F8. a screen will pop up. select safe mode. when it has booted up repeat the steps in the paragraph above. after restart your computer again and there should be absolutely no trace of windows media player ever again(unless you install it again)

Its not as easy as add/remove programs. First you need to include what version of Windows Media Player you have because uninstallation varies according to the version.
