I just bought an HP M425v digital camera and want to copy videos from it to dvd.
I have dvd recorder, but not directly on my pc.
I need a way to connect the camera to the dvd recorder or at least my tv in order for the dvd recorder to copy the video.

You Won’t Be Able To DIRECTLY Copy The Video To DVD It Is In An "Incompatible Format" For DVD You Will Need To Put It On Your Computer First And "Transcode" It To A Format That Will Play On A DVD Player Using A Utility Like Quick Time PRO* (Buy A KEY For $29.99 On the APPLE Website) Or Another Program Like Adaptec EZ CD/DVD Creator Or NERO

***noticed a product at best buy the other day. u can directly connect ur video camera via usb cable to dvd burner. its called "dvd direct" or something like that. it had a $300+ price tag though!***
i think ur takin the longer route. u have a camera. u have a usb. HOPEFULLY, u have a computer. upload the video files to ur computer n burn it to a dvd. but i suppose u dont have a dvd burner. the only other option is for ur computer to have a video out(coaxil, s-video, or vga). some newer lcd tvs have vga input where basically a computer monitor cable can be hooked up to it n the tv can be directly used as a computer monitor. work with that, or ask ur local retailer (best buy, radio shack, whatever).

put the files to your computer
then convert the video using a vidio editor to dvd format. i recommend the Nero software suit and you get a load of video editors with it.
then once converted (takes the best of computers about 5-20minutes for every minute of video) and then you just record it to dvd. you could also make VCD’s and stuff
you might even find a converter for free on http://www.download.com just search for video editors. and click on licences and go to free.

Assuming you have the camera dock for your M425v, you can connect the A/V connectors on the dock directly to your DVD recorder, playback the video on the camera and record the video with the DVD recorder.
For this solution, you don’t need a computer and you don’t need the USB connector.
