Michael Moore’s next film explores the root causes of the global economic meltdown and takes a comical look at the corporate and political shenanigans that culminated in what Moore has described as the biggest robbery in the history of this country the massive transfer of US taxpayer money to private financial institutions.Michael Moore, Capitalism, Love Story, New Movie, Corporation, Government Bail Out, AIG, Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, Documentary, Political, Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, Roger and Me, George W Bush, Barack Obama, Congress, General Motors, Flint, Politics

@newb2yutube My friend, I can see what your saying, but there are two sayings that I have become familiar with that made me believe in capitalism again. The first is “Where there is a will there is a way” and the second is “Where there is demand, there is always supply.” Our price system is wasteful yes, but it makes people happy, and it allows them to follow their dreams and be free of a machine like existence. If we run short of resources people will always invent a way to counter act it.
newb2yutube says
Funny you say free of machine like existence because there are loads of people who say otherwise. Anyway, no matter what you believe, the price system is not effective enough and eventually destroys itself because you can’t grow forever, these are accepted facts. I guess that is the difference between me and you. You believe, which I cannot do. I’m not asking you to throw away your belief overnight, just asking that you at least consider and look into these facts.

@newb2yutube I have looked into it, and I am not impressed by this progressive crap. I support capitalism even with all its imperfections because its the peoples system. It is the economic embodiment of choice. Is it unfair, certainly, is it unequal but it provides equal opportunity to all. And despite what you think we can grow forever, if the demand exists someone will create a supply. Eventually we will expand beyond the limitations of this world, humanity will always be expansive
davedavedaveannoy1 says
@davedavedaveannoy1 capitalism has allowed people with a good idea to formulate it into a money making dynamo, it allowed a pimple faced geek that dropped out of college to expand upon an ideal and create the one of the most powerful corporate entities in existence. It allows the strong to proceed without the restrictions of the weak, it gives a person the potential for anything. It is freedom, it is the best system humanity has to offer, and it will continue to benefit us well into the future.
newb2yutube says
@davedavedaveannoy1 Wow, just to let you know this idea has no political antecedents, so it is in no way “progressive”. It is all science my friend. The facts are there in the book. As I said, sooner or later the system will fail, the writing is on the wall and many well known economist and academics know this. Claiming it’s the best because of choices is ignoring quite a bit of reasoning.
newb2yutube says
… I can say the same thing about my subscribed views. It gives more freedom than the price system. People choose what they want to do as a career, they have all choices to consume. They all get free healthcare, education, transportation, and communication. There are also no contracts so people can’t force anything on anybody else. I’d say it is more free than the price system which limits technology, and creates a class caste system of control. Where special interests rule at various times.
newb2yutube says
I also don’t think “looking” at something qualifies for an immediate dismissal, but hey its your choice. Have a good day.

newb2yutube says
@davedavedaveannoy1 You as an individual may become debt free, but that debt is just passed on to others in a price system…hence the overall debt of society is in the trillions…does that seem sustainable?
davedavedaveannoy1 says
@newb2yutube No it does not, but the system flourishes despite that. There in lies the problem with your thinking, there is not equality, just conformity. Its a system that allows some to prosper at the expense of others, but it is better then the redistribution of poverty. Individualism is not perfect, but its competitive and always advancing and it provides luxury to the intelligent and the laborious.
hungdirect says
All you, you should stop thinking about us like the poor, dirty, and jealous with your life, your money. We, who you think who we are. we still have families, have the money, and stand in this world like you. We don’t care what capitalism inject into your brain about us. But we are forever be the good guy. We care for our son, our future, and leave all we had got for them. So we aren’t rich, we aren’t sinister. But our heart doing for our self know. Who care for their son, he is communist.

saw thjis film…unlike the mean things you hear about Michael Moore, he turns out to be highly intelligent and caring, and most importantly points out the flaws of capitalism in US. Flaws we don’t want to admit or discuss…shame.
GooseyDusty says
@charms71 He explains the situation which is nothing close to free enterprise.
GooseyDusty says
@davedavedaveannoy1 One thing… Free enterprise and voluntary exchange doesn’t allow some to prosper at the expense of others. Enterprise my compete. Some will win and some won’t, but it isn’t at the expense of others. Crony capitalism on the other hand will. We need a return to free enterprise.
charms71 says
@GooseyDusty Reagan was one of the worst things that happened to the middle class if Michael Moore is correct
davedavedaveannoy1 says
@GooseyDusty Precisely, but your incorrect, when one business grows its at the expense of another, if you get a job at a company thats a job another person could have recieved, if you monopolize the market thats a place many other smaller companies could have been placed in, you can get ahead in life without trampling someone else. Its sad yes but it is a reality, its economic darwinism, the fit survive the weak die.

Ummm… Okay… What we have in the U.S. right now is most definitely NOT capitalism. Domestic interventionism, inflationism, and corporatism would be more apt to describe our country’s system. Capitalism works. The free market works. Intermingling big business and the government obviously does not.
