Hollywood is always remaking/rebooting successful movies and franchises, but I think they should take bad movies and remake them. See if a movie or franchise in someone elses hands could be made successful. Is there a movie or franchise that could used a refresh button and be better than the original?

Highlander for sure. Such a promising first movie turned horribly horribly wrong after that.
I also think every horror movie over the last 15 years that has a PG13 rating attached to it should be remade. Horror movie will make money if they are rated R. SAW proved that.
The Punisher movies
Also, Spoof movies need to go back to the drawing board and find a way to actually be funny. Like Airplane or Spaceballs. The "movie" movies that have been released lately are awful.

The first to come to mind was Choke(2008). I know it’s practically brand new, but I didn’t like it and it could have been so much better. Choke is my favorite novel by Chuck Palahniuk and I felt like that movie just ruined it.

Maybe "28 Weeks Later" The first being an original spin on the Zombie/Apocalypse motif, the 2nd seemed more like just an action movie with less originality than hoped for. (IMO) Also, maybe "The Man With The Screaming Brain" w/ Bruce Campbell who I really like, but thought this one kind of fell flat…. You may (or may not) have seen "Stacy" where they used the Bruce Campbell chain saw arm to destroy the flesh eating teen age girl zombies who just wanted love!..(or something like that!) Cheers…

‘The Saint’. A new version would help fans forget the Val Kilmer film of the 1990s which had little to do with the original character.

let’s pretend indianda jones part four was never made and redo it without lucas. The aliens wrecked it, and it was barely working before that.
Matrix two and three sucked. ten minutes of good action does not make a good two hour movie. the w bros. peaked at part one and have been downhill ever since including speed racer. neo can be played by an actor who was neither bill or ted
a franchise that desperately needs a movie to finish the story line is Deadwood. Although timothy is now a star, he obviiously loved playing the sheriff as shown in the new series Justified.

I think a new Evil Dead movie with Bruce Campbell reprising the role of Ash and directed by Sam Raimi could be epic! Evil Dead 2 was the best and even though I didn’t like Army of Darkness too much, the ending scene in the Super K opened it up for a the sequel to have great potential.
Even the game on PS2 all the makings for a great movie. In the game, town Ash lives in gets over-run by the living dead when a late-night talk radio host starts reading from the Necromonicon over the radio (perfect cameo for Coast-to-Coast AM’s Art Bell!)
