I think romantic comedies are. My dad is a movie critic (top one, not one for a local newspaper or mediocre stuff like that) and he thinks that romantic comedies are typically underrated.
He also thinks that a good portion of war and westerns are underrated. He thinks that Once Upon a Time in Mexico is awesome, despite how many people think it sucks.
What do you think?
@Mental Quality
Haha, no, my dad isn’t Roger Ebert. His name is Marc (not Marc Savlov, lol.)

Is your dad Roger Ebert?
Physiological Thrillers. Memento, Shutter Island, Se7en, etc.
Westerns are also very unappreciated. Aside from John Wayne and Clint Eastwood, most people haven’t even seen any Western films. The Wild Bunch is a masterpiece, as are many of Sam Peckinpah’s films, yet nobody seems to care about him…

Once Upon a Time in Mexico is a Rodriguez movie, while the title it got from Tarantino.
So, RR is the daddy, while QT is the godfather for the movie, sure it’s AWESOME lol
yeah, romance as a genre is generally considered to be inferior to any other genre, idk if it’s right or not right, but it’s a fact.
