I know Kawasaki makes a 2053 cc engine for its Vulcan, and today I saw a Triumph with a 2300 (which I’m sure is a 2290-something in reality). It led me to wonder, which company makes the biggest motorcycle engine? Obviously the Dodge Tomahawk has a Viper engine, but only a couple were sold, so it can’t be considered production.

well the boss hoss isnt exactly off a major production line but theyve sold many and will make one for anyone who has the money. They’re cruisers with motor from chevy 350’s (maybe down to ford 289’s or chevy 305’s not sure) up to chevy 454’s. They are huge bikes. go look them up

maybe a Boss Hoss ? It has 2 different chevy v8 engines that you can choose from. Im not sure of the hp right off hand.
But did you ever search for the bike with the radial engine from an airplane? I saw a blue one chopper looking with a radial engine, very sharp. That would be my first choice when Im able to afford a bike.

The Triumph Rocket Series bikes have a 3 cylinder 140cid = 2294cc engine….this engine sounds very
impressive …producing 140hp at 6000rpm and 147ft/lbs of torque at 2500rpm. To the best of my knowledge, this is actually the LARGEST STOCK PRODUCTION ENGINE.
The Kawasaki Vulcan uses a 125cid = 2053cc engine which is not a bad engine that produce 141ft/lbs of torque at 2800 rpm….even lower rpm than an American V-Twin, but it is also a totally different engine design.
HD’s current stock engine is 96cid = 1573cc that can easily be converted to 110cid = 1803cc
These are all AFTERMARKET American V-Twin STREET Engines…..
Take note to the horsepower and TORQUE output from the Ultima engine……160hp & 175FT/LBS OF TORQUE…….not bad at all from an engine that only turns 6000 rpm.
S&S Cycles DID make a limited production HD Evo Style Engine that was 145cid = 2376cc
The largest street engine that I know of currently is the Ultima El Bruto 140cid = 2294cc

Jims Tools/Engines makes a 131cid = 2147cc
Patrick Racing makes a FULL LINE of engines 120cid = 1966cc, 125cid = 2048cc, 128cid = 2098cc, 131cid = 2147
http://patrick-racing.com/
S&S makes a FULL LINE of 124cid = 2032cc
Now when you get into the racing engines….S&S produces several different VERY large displacement engines…..THE MOST IMPRESSIVE IS THIS……160cid = 2622cc…..this engine has set national quarter mile records at 6.091 seconds, they don’t list the hp/torque specs due to the engine’s variations from tuner-to-tuner…….although…it comes with one hell of a price tag……..with transmission…$52,206.40
