You should be able to tell the difference if you are watching a 3D movie right now. You would need to be wearing the red and blue 3D glasses so that the images on the screen can "come out at you" a 2D film is any standard film you watch that does not require these glasses for viewing…
for obcious reasons 3d is best…..but the prob is making one in 3d
also there is 1D. It’s flat lines. That’s it. It would make for a really boring movie.
imax is the the biggest screen….72 ft × 53 ft…
odean….http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Odeon_Cinemas

IMAX is the best….the screen almost curves round slightly, giving a better quality picture, and the IMAX screens are always massive. Something like Avatar is amazing in IMAX. 2D films is what most films are…3D is like real-life, when the images come out of the screen.
Odeon is just a chain of cinemas – a very famous one.
IMAX is the best though…although the most expensive!!
hope this helps!

Actually wide release 3d movies in the theater do not use red and blue glasses. 3d movies released in the theater have used the polarized tinted glasses that look like weak sunglasses since the early 1950’s. Only televisions have used the two colored 3d glasses because it can not do other 3d formats unless it is specially made to do so.
