I’m planning on watching a movie tomorrow with two of my good friends. One of them likes scary movies, but he doesn’t like a lot of gore or blood. So I need a really scary movie with that to a minimum. Things jumping out at you and stuff like that would be good tactics for a movie. More psychological, suspenseful, and jumpy. Any ideas? Thanks.

Blair Witch Project-one of the scariest movies ever! it has no gore or monsters or anything, yet you don’t even miss them.
also quite brilliantly executed and the cast didn’t really know about what was happening to them so their terror is often genuine.
In older films Alien is one of my all time faves. Aliens is great too but has a lot more visceral stuff.
The Sixth sense has almost no blood at all and is really scary
The original Nightmare on Elm Street has what I call joke gore, stuff that couldn’t really happen so it is funny and scary and it has young Johnny Depp..mmmm worth the price of admission LOL.
Monster type movies, if you don’t mind subtitles the Host is scary and really funny too, it’s a korean film about this monster that grows in this river because of all the chemical waste and Cloverfield is kind of a similar story but it’s in English.
For a really Zen horror treat-Donnie Darko
very existential

If you’re watching a horror movie in theatres, I suggest Paranormal Activity, one at home I would say Dead Silence or It.

Aw, this was a really quality post. In theory I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.

I’m excited to be finally posting online after all these years. There really is no mystique (sp) about it, is there? I just dropped by your blog and had to write something. I’m a recent college grad, journalism major if you must know, and I absolutely love photography. I’ve got my website up but it’s nothing to boast about yet. None of my stuff’s been posted. Soon as I figure out how to do that, I’ll spend the day posting my best pictures. anyway just thought I’d drop a line. I hope to return with more substantial stuff, stuff you can actually use. SPG
