Look, I love movies as much as the next person. I collect them by the thousands. But when VHS changed to DVD, I lost alot of my favorite movies that were never released on DVD. And i’m sure the same thing will happen when the final change is made from DVD to BLU-RAY. Why does technology strive to be clearer and clearer ? I personally do not need to see every pore in someone’s face. Or hear every mosquito in the woods. AND, overall I’m getting sick of transfering my HOME VIDEOS from format to format to ensure i’ll be able to watch them.
Personally, I hated when video rental places changed exclusive to only the widescreen format. I do not have a widescreen television. And until I am forced into it, I do not plan on buying one. Why do I need to see the extra trees on the left and right of the screen that i’m ‘missing out’ on ? Or see more of someone’s room ? Or whatever the case may be.

Yeah. But ya know, at least the Blu-Ray players play DVD’s. I’m a musician and the only way I record (home stuff) is with a tape recorder, and it’s getting harder to find blank tapes. I think the whole thing is just a way for companies to make money off the same title. How many times have some people bought the same movie in 10 years? VHS, Laser-Disc, DVD, HD-DVD, Blu-Ray, PSP, it’s ridiculous.
People amaze me – they’re so impressed with shiny things. They’d rather have a shiny piece of s*** than a rough diamond. "Look at the picture! Look at the picture!"
When I used to watch "Jurassic Park" on VHS, I never really had a complaint about the quality. NEVER!

Aw, this was a really quality post. In theory I’d like to write like this too – taking time and real effort to make a good article… but what can I say… I procrastinate alot and never seem to get something done.
