Okay, I know that I’m going sound like an enormously annoying know-it-all, but the mom and dad both have green/blue eyes so their son should too. I know it’s just a minor mistake but it could’ve easily been avoided. However, that kid is soooo cute. :)

In fact it’s not completely true what you say. The color of your eyes are decided by genes from your dad and mom, so far you’re right. But even tough the dad and mom both have green/blue eyes, they could have a recessive gen that decides they should have brown eye and a dominant gen that decides they have blue/green eyes.
Its possible that both or one of the parents with such recessive brown eye gave precisely that gen to their kid and so the kid has brown eyes.
