Dave (Jay Baruchel) is just an average college student, or so it appears, until the sorcerer Balthazar Blake (Nicolas Cage) recruits him as his reluctant protégé and gives him a crash course in the art and science of magic. As he prepares for a battle against the forces of darkness in modern-day Manhattan, Dave finds it is going to take all of the courage he can muster to survive his training, save the city and get the girl as he becomes THE SORCERERS APPRENTICE.

@RobNLynchburgVA here’s the thing, in the beggining of his nobody knew Nicholas Cage was the Coppola’sd nephew. Cage changed his name because he wanted to be recognized for his talent, not for his famous uncle. It worked, after so many years working as actor it shows he’s really a good actor. Famous realtives helps in the begginig, but after some years if you’re not good enough you’re out. PS: Watch Leaving Las Vegas and you will see Nicholas Cage is damn good actor…

Doesn’t look bad. Atleast they are not making any films as rediculous as Pocahontas–they remodified a piece of history instead of fiction. Even their fictional films have been modified from their original works; half of their greatest cartoons are rewoks of the Brothers Grimm. It doesn’t take an English teacher to name those.
