      Sandy was one of the most importan, for not say THE most importan female drummer in history of rock, beside to be the first, was amazing. that say only that joan got a career it´s a disrespectful to her. R.I.P.
      i´m just a big fan of The runaways (the band, obviusly) and the movie definilly was a bad thing.

    9. @SheaBearden Lita Ford released a new album last year called Wicked Wonderland. I the world of Metal she is a heavy hitter. Joan Jett went the light weight rock-pop route.

    15. I love the runaways but this wasn’t a great film, kristen stewart needs to take more acting classes, but love the soundtrack :-)

    16. I watched the movie with my husband, I think they did an amazing job!!!! Great story line they followed it very well with the history of the band and the conflicts they faced as this young “angry” girl band.

    22. Movie gets a 2 and a two thumbs down. Whoever said this was a good introduction to the Runaways doesn’t know dick about shit. The two lead actors were weak as hell because Jett and Currie were strong personalities. Those two girls that portrayed them are coddled actors with no idea of sex, drugs and rock and roll. They might have gotten laid, smoked some weed and had a few drinks but if you look into the Runaways history they were all steeped into the real lives of rock stars, not posing.

    24. um…6 or 7, i felt like they didnt do enough to show the stories of all the band members. all they did was make lita look like a bitch, sandy a masterbating drunk, and well…jackie wasnt involved so i cant say anything. but they made cherie look like an angel gone bad then back to angel, and joan like the only person who got anything out of the runaways. idk…it was an okay movie though

    25. @MsRAWR131 Actually, in an interview with the director of the film, she said that the reason they portrayed Lita so little in the film was beacause “the real” Lita wasn’t interested in cooperating with the film at all, so they chose not to focus as much on her when they didn’t get the actual story of what happened to her. With Joan and Cherie it was different, seeing as they could go by Cherie’s book, and Joan was an executive producer, so she could give feedback..
