  10. @2lovestargirl Two sisters parents died so they live with there aunty but she gets jealous about having other girls in the house getting attention from there sons so she ties up the older sister in the celler and does HORRIBLE stuff to her e.g .. Burns her cuts her .. her sons rape her .. she burns her private part and her sons suggest the stuff aswell … it absolutly sick!

This movie and book is based on the true life story of Sylvia Likens who lost her life after she was held captive and tortured by Gertrude Baniszewski the movie An American Crime uses the real characters. The real life story is just plain disturbing if u read and look up what was done to this poor girl I really can’t put into words and the actual lady got a life sentence but only served 14 yrs!!!

  14. …Is this movie or “An American Crime” closer to the real cases? Because I watched that one and I felt so sorry for Sylvia. i cried the whole second half of the movie. I think I’ll watch this one too though, everyone needs to know the horrors that are possible in our own country.

  15. man this movie is ridiculous. pretty different from the true story and a bit worse. I feel for Sylvia Likens. She endured what no person on this earth should have. The fact that that was happening and no one said anything or tried to stop it pisses me off greatly. And this is the so called place where it’s safe 2 live. Doesn’t seem like it 2 me.

  18. I wish I could unsee this movie. I feel sick. I want to cry after watching this. It’s wrong. The thought that child abuse like this exists is bad enough without having to watch a movie about it. Though if you want to see something fucked up there is nothing beyond this period. It makes any horror movie yo0u’ve seen look like a cartoon. I don’t think i am going ot hav e a good day after watching this.

  24. For some reason, this movie didn’t get to me like it got to everyone else. I didn’t think it was that disturbing. I love the movie, though.
