It was out on video by 1990 and I believe it was made and released between 1988 and 1989, although I’m not completely certain of that. Even though I’ve seen the movie, I can’t really remember too much about it like the overall plot. I do remember that I saw a promo for the movie on a rental of either "She-Devil" or "Valmont". When I finally saw the movie, near the beginning, this one guy wakes up (I think destroying his alarm clock, then getting out another), jumps out the window, grabs some flowers, and is pulled back in by some springs attached to his feet. I also remember a scene where a guy (maybe the same one) is chasing after an ambulance (on foot) to someone who has been hurt, making me believe he’s a lawyer of some sort. The main two (or three) guys were supposed to be good guys but stupid in a way where you feel concerned about trusting them with anything.
It’s one of those movies that looks like it was a bad idea to make but is still fun to watch just for the heck of it. For some reason, I want to say that one of the guys in the movie looks like Harold Ramis (the geek guy from Ghostbusters), although it isn’t him.
