I have had Netflix since June, and I am pretty pissed off at them right now. Everything went well for the first couple of months, but now their service has really begun to suck. I am on the plan that allows me two DVDs at a time, with an unlimited amount available per month. I think that Netflix has been "throttling" me by purposely delaying my shipments. It’s not even like I take that many out a month, maybe one or two a week! What’s really pissed me off is that 5 out of the 7 DVDs that I have recently rented were unplayable due to excessive scratches and even some pitting! I wrote to Netflix and they told me that their DVDs are inspected before being sent–I don’t see how this can be true! To take the cake, they sent me an extra "free" DVD as an apology-it was a copy of the latest movie that I had to send back due to it being so scratched that I couldn’t watch it-and the replacement was also unplayable! I’m looking into joining another service. Anyone have another one that is better?
One more thing–I can’t go to a Blockbuster video store because the nearest one is over an hour from my house. This is why I rent through the mail.

Has anyone else noticed that Redbox DVD rental kiosks are now SELLING used rental DVDs for $6?
I was really surprised today- I checked out my local neighborhood redbox DVD rental unit, and noticed something different. From the main screen, there was a highlighted orange box (instead of just rent or return).
It read "Buy USED DVD rentals for "! I clicked on the ‘view titles’ icon and looked at what they had- There were about 4 pages of DVD titles that they were selling. No- not just older DVD releases- pretty new ones! I managed to score The Dark Knight and Tropic Thunder- both just each!
I go online to check out more titles available for sale, but I see NO mention of the deal going on. I received a receipt email from Redbox with the sale titles and the prices I paid…
This is yet another great idea- I may never set foot in a Best Buy or Walmart to buy DVDs ever again! btw- the DVDs are in perfect condition (no scratches) and play perfectly. The only catch is that is doesn’t come with the DVD case- just a redbox DVD plastic case.
Check out what your local redbox has for sale today!
