Is the reason that Blockbuster is doing so poorly because they charged for a DVD rental? I remember, last year, I rented the movie "Gia" for a film class. They considered it a "New Release" and charged me for a 2 night rental for it. Gia was released in the mid 1990s, more than a decade ago, it was not a new release.
I currently have a Netflix subscription and I get 4 DVDs a month for less than . This isn’t a recent development with them, though. I rented DVDs from them all throughout the early 2000s and they constantly had DVDs in the "New Releases" section that were years old. I don’t know what it is about Blockbuster, but their business practices suck.
Am I the only one who thinks this? As anyone else had these things occur?
