Stop It Hollywood Missle Command is a Pre-Preview Review of Missle Command and an outline of the Stop It Hollywood Movement. It was recently announced that the popular 1980 Atari video game would be adaptaed into a movie. Really? What’s the story going to be? Can it be done? Will it be done well? Or, is this just another attempt at cashing in on a brand name? Let’s explore the idea and the recent greenlight motivations of Hollywood and find some movie truth. The destructive and abusive tendencies of the monetary system ensure that even the art of narrative, an essential part of human development, will suffer. I hope you are aware if the Zeitgeist Movement which seeks to put an end to monetary system and help all people reach their highest potential.

@abcdefh1992 Respect. Agreed that there never was a “good ol’ days” where EVERY movie was amazing. I’d argue the “crap” of the old days was at least trying to be different, trying to do something new, trying to add something to the great movie lexicon. Today the name brand recycling is beyond anything that’s ever existed before. In the end it’s inspiration vs. imitation. Profit vs. Spirit. It’s a yin/yang balance, right now, the scales are tipped, there is imbalance. Thanks for your voice! LLGM

@Exarian Haha. In the digital world everyone gets 3 lives to start with.

@psyckid008 I have and agreed, it’s a great surprise. It’s got a few cracks, but overall, one of the best movies of the year when it comes to imagination and filmmaking.
KooLRajK says
What are you talking about? I’d totally watch Missile Command 3D ;)
KooLRajK says

nWoreviewer says
Hang on.. Clue was already made in to a film from the 80s and it was pretty good, the new one is just a remake i think

Quality is better than quantity
ChazDragoon says
I’m sure someone (or yourself) has noticed this..but they DID make a movie of CLUE back in the 80s-90’s i think…with Tim Curry. Great Movie..and the ONLY boardgame that should ever get a movie conversion.
droppingpenny says
You probably won’t believe this, but Barbie was already made into a shit ton of CGI movies and Bratz got a live action adaptation.

Well said.

i’m still a college student but i’m studying film production. your “stop it hollywood” vids inspire me every day to always be creative and come up with new ideas for movies and not just get sucked into creating stupid remakes or adaptations of things that are just ridiculous!
Robinhoodarch says
@moviepreviewcritic yeah, but they give the whole plot away in the trailer, i hate when movies do that.
Laughtraxx says
Haha, nice to see you back!
Laughtraxx says
@moviepreviewcritic I accually think the Asylum is more original than the real companies! At least they can coe up with an original story most of the time!
AgentFlea says
That guy has a point with the whole crap movies filtered out by history. It’s really a pain to try and filter out all the shit with the gems because there ARE gems these days. District 9, Unbreakable, Moon. It just pisses me off that it shouldn’t be so fucking hard and take so fucking long for worthy movies to come out in the theater. I haven’t gone to the theater in a very long time because I haven’t seen any movies that are at least decent. I miss going to see movies. =\
aassaa99 says
i dont mind them making these movies i actually want them too.. i agree that they should be made by some one that is passionate about them and not just for money
DerektheDalek says
@ChazDragoon Agreed and quoted for movie truth. Risk I could just about accept, but I never want to see Hungry Hippos or Boggle turned into movies!
DerektheDalek says
I definitely want to see more originality and quality in future movies and not an overbundance on sequels, prequels and movies based on the oddest franchises. I’m not going to deny that as a comics fan I am more than keen to see the Comic-based films due later this year – Green Lantern, X-Men: First Class, Captain America, Thor and Cowboys & Aliens – but in these at least I expect some level of faithfulness and love for the fans that some comic films like SM3 or X-Men Last Stand didn’t provide.
JamieAIDS says
would you apply the same properties towards comic book movies? Cause i like them.
TruMorbid says
Just when I thought it couldn’t possibly get worse than Hitman or Max Payne, they pull this crap on us. Yeah, Pong’s not too far off now. Or Tetris. Or Pac-Man.
At this rate, they’ll break away from games and start doing movies based on breakfast cereals.
