Serena Williams made a wholesome appearance on social media post her 2021 Wimbledon Championship exit. Fans were devastated to see her pull out of the competition following an injury mid-game. What came following were speculations of a retirement, which left followers in agony with questions.
However, in a rather pleasant video, Serena recorded her experience at her daughter Olympia’s first dance recital. The American Tennis legend can’t seem to contain her excitement, “Okay so we’re at Olympia’s first recital which I’m super excited about and it’s going to be fun, She’s a ballerina”, she said.
All smiles and giggles, however, turned to little tears of joy as Serena got emotional watching her toddler perform.
As shared on her Instagram story, Serena is clearly enjoying time with her family, taking a much-needed break and watching her daughter twirl and turn her way around the stage.
“So I was really getting emotional and I cried a minute at Olympia’s dance recital and it was only a minute and 23 seconds and It was so cute and she did so good..”, the proud mother said.
Serena’s return to the grass-court was a painful one. Deemed as the tournament’s favorite, Serena slipped on the court during her first-round match, injuring her right thigh. As ecstasy turned into unbearable agony, the 39-year-old had no option but to withdraw from the tournament.
Ever since her exit, she has been making rounds all over the news. As her future lies in doubt, fans are flooding social media with all sorts of questions, in the hope to find an answer that would help them.
However, Serena chooses to stay grounded at the moment, not making any formal announcements and spend as much time with her family as possible.
