Cast: Paul Bettany, Cam Gigandet, Maggie Q, Karl Urban, Stephen Moyer, Christopher Plummer, Brad Dourif, Madchen Amick, Lily Collins “Priest” is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. Paul Bettany is Priest, a legendary warrior priest during the last Vampire War, who now lives in obscurity among the other human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities controlled by the Church. But when his 18-year-old niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires in the desolate wastelands outside, Priest breaks his sacred vows and ventures out to find her and seek vengeance upon those responsible, especially their brutal leader (Karl Urban). Priest is joined on his crusade by his niece’s boyfriend, Hicks (Cam Gigandet), a local outpost sheriff, and Priestess (Maggie Q), a member of his former legion of vampire-killers who has otherworldly fighting skills.     7. I see. So just because I’m critic with this film, I’m for sure a Twilight fan.

      I’ll stick with Coppola’s Dracula aesthetics.

    8. @Ennio444-I didn’t say you were a Twilight fan I was just saying that it’s kind of stupid to judge something so quickly before the movie is even out. The aesthetics in the movie aren’t the worst but they are something extremely new and different. Coppola’s Dracula aesthetics were pretty good that’s my favorite vampire movie next to the original Nosferatu.

    9. Well, not really new. They were already like that in Legion, to put an example with Paul Bettany himself. I mean, black leather, opressive religious society, God is dark… I’ve seen those issues in Judge Dredd, Blade, Matrix, Dark City, Underworld… I mean, this is mass commercial cinema, I don’t expect any decent film out of this.

    11. This movie can be awesome or it can be a total failure. I had such big hopes for the “Legion” movie, but it ended up terrible.

      If the directors play their cards right with these actors whom are well known and very talented, this can be a pretty decent piece of film. :)

    12. OMG can’t wait to see this!!! Did anyone else jump at the end when the guy said, “you have no idea what’s coming, priest,” and the vampire landed in front of him? xD

    15. This is going to be a shitty movie like legion, they show you all the cool parts in trailer but when it comes to the movie they going fck it up so far a consumers ass……..I rest my case.

    20. THESE ARE NOT VAMPIRES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! These are some sort of crazy monsters that crave blood and die in sunlight. Just because they have two similarities to vampires doesn’t mean they are vampires. The film has created a rather ugly looking creature and called it a vampire when it shouldn’t be called that. VAMPIRES ARE HUMANS WHO CRAVE FLESH AND DIE IN SUNLIGHT! THEY AREN’T MONSTERS!

    22. i don’t understand some people…. since when is there a rule that states what vampires can and cannot do? They are NOT real, so doesn’t that mean whoever is creating a story about any monster, can specify what they can or cannot do? It’s fiction, so it shouldn’t matter, right?

      just zombies, fallen angels, and cowboys
      this movie looks like it forgot to read it’s own source material lol
