I gave someone a gift subscription to an on-line dvd rental for 2 months, and he must have called the place complaining every single day if things did not go perfectly, then he would put everything off until he watched each movie as they came in so he could return them as fast as possible.
As for returning, he made his girlfriend go out of her way to mail the dvd’s near her work because he thought they would get there faster.
Is this normal behavior?

This guy needs to get on itunes and download content, since he has no patience. It is not normal behavior.

Not really. I still prefer the brick and morter (Blockbuster), for getting my movies. They have the same deals, and you can get your munchies at the same time….

The online rental companies lose money if you return them too quickly all the time. Netflix had a policy called "throttling" where your account was flagged as having too much actiivity in a month and they actually slowed down mailing new movies to you. Instead of one day turn around, it took 2-4 days so that you weren’t costing them so much in postage. I know they were sued and lost over this policy. I’m not sure if it is still practiced (but disclosed in the fine print) or if they had to stop doing it.
