I wouldn’t say this is the best movie with a twist. Watch Primal Fear before the Sixth Sense if you like twists, or Cinema Paradiso and Life is Beautiful for unforgettable endings in foreign cinema. Fight Club just sucked. This was o.k. but far from the best in twists, or foreign movies on my scale.

I have seen all movies on the IMDb Top 250 List, and Oldboy is the best of them. It is my alltime- favorite-movie :)

@roxasroks I made that comment referring to the many comments on here which made me want to watch the movie in the first place. Sorry, but you are right that it’s a movie that sticks with you for a while. I just wouldn’t say it was that great of a movie. One single quote, which proved true to a gripping soundtrack, gave it an unsettling end. It was ok and I still don’t know where to place it but it wouldn’t be before so many others I’ve seen.

now after i sew it i understand why this movie is so brilient. one of the bests ever. i really cant see how fake hollywood can remake that. wil smith? it will look like shit. maybe an actor like adrian brody or cristian bale.. but will fucking smith? de su is a dramatic charecter as well as ugin.

What? I thought talks about a Oldboy remake was dead as of late 2009. Apparently Spielberg and Smith wanted to remake the manga itself and the film producers gave them the rights to the manga without the comic’s permission.
Correct me if i am wrong, but are they back on board with a remake?
God i hope not, this movie was my all time favorites and I don’t want to see a hollywood remake of this.
