However, nothing could prepare him for the daunting search for “Le Fin du Monde,” a film allegedly shown only once and rumored to have driven its audience into a murderous frenzy before the theater mysteriously erupted in flames. Working for a shadowy patron, Jimmy’s increasingly obsessive investigation becomes nightmarish and deadly. Finally he discovers “Le Fin du Monde”‘s infamy is well deserved. This supernatural “Chinatown” is a chilling look at the power of cinema and the lengths to which we will go to satiate our private demons.

this trailer has like a m,illion references to the american version of Ring (the Naomi Watts one), Is it anything like it? I’ve been told that The Hills Run Red is essentially a copy of this too.
pen91un says
OMG it does look like a copy of the ring! but i’ll get it anyways.

You Tube “LA FIN ABSOLUE DU MONDE”
A Canadian Director made his own version of LA FIN. Its really good too!
Be careful something happens to you after you watch it.
ericnfan says
the concept is interesting as anavid movie fan I would hate to watch something and then have something happen afterwards right out of the movie! creepy in that aspect!
JinxHexhazard says
@jamesdc60 It’s different, but I don’t want to tell you because I don’t want to spoil it. Believe me, if you’re a horror fan, you have to watch it to see the difference.

@DamienColletti
I had thought Carpenter had gone downhill since ’95 or so. Boy, this piece really proved me wrong—he still has it.
Cigarette Burns had good characters, a compelling story, and not to mention it was pretty darn disturbing, too.
I have to pick this DVD up—well worth the price tag.
DamienColletti says
No, after watching this, he definitely hasn’t! Lol. Glad you liked it too, it was definitely a great episode! My favorite one of the series! Most of these “Masters of Horror” are on Netflix by the way. That’s where I saw them.
LPFANAS777 says
somwhere i readed that this film is like the most scearest film in this world, that this is like the end of the world, but no, its not!
