This brings back great memories from many moons ago of my Father taking me and my Brother Bobby to the Totowa Drive-In on Route 46E in Totowa, NJ to see Yul Brenner in a colourful swashbuckler “THE BUCCANEER”…I also love “THE CONTENDERS” cut “THE CLOCK”…Super post!

It’s not bad, just as long you also don’t forget to remember to live in the present.

What is it about DOO-WOP MUSIC that sends me on an emotional roller-coaster ride more breath-taking than a three minute amusement park ride? Unless we’re talkin’ `bout the Cyclone at Coney Island or Meteor at PAP. Yeeeah, when I hear that drum beat thunk, the Bass Man bomp, the Baritones blend with the Falsettos allowing the Tenor leadm to hit his mark ALL in perfect Harmony ~ DANG! `Tis 1957 again and I’m runnin’ loose on cobblestone Conover ST. Red Hook, Brooklyn! Gee, I loved those Happy Days

Ii think things made more sense back then why bother building a big arena of a place for movies when youd be much more comfortable in your own car where you feet dont stick to the ground and your car is as hot or cold as YOU or your date like it. you know how ladies get cold, sometimes i see alot of girls with jackets on in the theater. doesnt make sense and you dont have to share armrests | <that big with someone you dont know.plus you dont have to worry about finding seats for your whole group

There was an incident in the ’60s at a busy, rushed drive-in snack bar when a worker accidentally filled a cola dispenser with a similarly-colored brown liquid which turned out to be insecticide instead of Coke or Pepsi concentrate. Only a few people took a sip from their cups, but were poisoned regardless.
Not everything at the drive-in back in the old days was wonderful.

The difference is that we no longer respect each other. Seriously. We just don’t care about each other. I mean, when’s the last time you gave someone change at starbucks because they were short 25 cents or something? I’m just using that as an example.. I mean down in this part of the country, it’s more common, but not in other places, like the Los Angeles, Baltimore, etc.

@skeeteatter: It’s obviously staged to a certain extent for the benefit of these promos. But, for the most part, you are correct IMO.
