Hi everyone, I have a Dell Dimention 4600 with Windows XP and I just replaced the stock DVD ROM with a brand new NEC ND-3550a DVD burner. Now I can watch DVDs with it, but when I try to burn a movie to a disc useing Windows Movie Maker, it says that a recordable cd drive is not detected. How do I fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated.
I only recieved the burner, not the software thats supposed to go with it.

I have the same problem with Movie Maker and from what I’ve read it’s not fixable. I’ve just learned to work around it by using the Movie Maker wizard to make a wmv movie file then using the software included with my DVD drive to burn to DVD.
