I am afraid you can not upload your DVD to website. Most website only accepts video files. So I think you should use a dvd ripper to convert your DVD to video. I share Tipard DVD Ripper.
I download it here:
I also want to share you the instructions I usually followed.
Step 0: Install and run it.
Step 1: Click “Load DVD” button to load your DVD.
Step 2: Select the output video format you want from the “Profile” drop-down list.
Step 3: Select the output destination.
Step 4: Click the "Convert" button to start your conversion.
This tool has fast conversion speed and good sound/image quality.
Some other functions such as "Snapshot", "Crop", "Effect", "Trim", "Merge" are also availabel but I seldomly use them.
You can check it out.
Hope it can help you.

…to a website? That goes against copyright issues. I wouldn’t recommend doing it. And even so, uploading a full DVD to a website is too much. You’d have to format the video and lower its size, resolution, etc. AND THEN split it into several clips in order to fit in video websites like YouTube.
Now, assuming you’re talking about some sort of HOMEMADE DVD… You’re going to need a DVD Ripper to get it in your PC. If you’re new to computers, this is actually not an easy task – so I wouldn’t recommend you doing it by yourself. I’d go for personal help.
If you still want to try by yourself, I’d go with this guide:

I used it back when I ripped my first DVD.
You can save it anywhere on your PC that you’d like.

I assume the the DVD is not a Commercial one? Ie not a feature film or a music DVD as you are going to get into all sorts of problems with copyright. If the site is your own or space you can use because if you are trying to upload it to Youtube you can only upload 10 minutes or 1gb.
You need to get the video onto your computer, either by copying the files from your dvd in a folder called Video_ts there are some files with the extension *****.VOB, or by ripping the video and convert it to another file format. Your video is still going to be very large 600mb + so you are going to need to get it into a format that can be played from a website, there are a few choices here, Apple quick time, (MOV) windows (WMV) or flash video (FLV) I like FLV. you can get free converters for that. this will reduce the file size and enable you to add it to a site (I am assuming you are using your own site) you will need to have a video player embedded in your site
this is a good one and its free if you are not using it on a commercial site
longtailvideo.com/players/jw-flv-player/
there are plenty of help files to get things working. then you need to upload your video, that can take a few minutes to a few hours depending on your upload speed. (not the same as your down load)
that’s about it in a nut shell
if you need some more help I can give you a little help but I have plenty of links on my computer just mail me
Good luck

Great Info! But I’m having some trouble trying to load your blog. I have read it many times before and never gotten something like this, but now when I try to load something it just takes a little while (5-10 minutes ) and then just stops. I hope i don’t have spyware or something. Does anyone know what the problem could be?
