  10. That is because Jamulkha is played by a Chinese and Genghiz by a Japanese. They shud use Mongolian actors for these important roles, but there are no famous Mongolian actors, except maybe Ba Sen Zha Bu of Ovor Mongolia. BTW, Sun Honglei, who played Jamulkha got very positive reviews for the movie, although overall the movie was criticized. I downloaded the movie.

Even today many things are hidden from humans and waiting to be explored. Japanese people are proud people. They value their lives. Respect them. They live on the mine fields. the survive 7 degree Earth Quakes. Be like them. No human would harm other human if he or she is a Japanese :) Rest is on you to decide. Love Mongolia and all the rest alike.

  14. Sun Honglei is Manchurian in ethnicity. And lots of Manchurian carry east wing Mongol blood (descendants of Genghis) from the maternal side (due to marriage alliances).

  16. I enjoyed this movie very much! Fantastic cinematography – something Hollywood could learn from. Mind you, I feel the same way about House of Flying Daggers and Hero.

  18. Mongol was made at a fraction of the cost of a typical Hollywood ‘epic’ would cost these days and still looks better and is more enjoyable than the multimillion dollar blockbusters that comes out each summer…

  20. I love this movie regardless some of mistakes. Overall it is very good movie. Long live My Mongolia and its blue sky stay forever.
