My DVD recorder is kaput. I want to buy a new one this weekend, anyone with suggestions as to which ones are good or bad would be appreciated. are you satisfied with yours? why or why not? pros and cons?
thanks.

Honestly, look for something that plays blu-ray too. The DVDs will all begin to switch over not long from now so you might have to buy one anyway. As for a DVD recorder, I would highly recommend anything made by Sony and can record on re-writable disks (this will save you a ton of money in the long run). These are also a breeze to set up and use.
For media, I buy Sony DVD-R, but they also have re-writable disks that work great (DVD-RW). I trust Sony no matter what, so when in doubt…
Good luck with your search.
