this movie rocks! it’s one of my favourite animated movies and definitely surpasses “Up” which i think was mediocre
Allahanna1 says
the movie 9 is sitting on my “awesome stuff” shrine, in the place of honor, as i type, never, ever, EVER let me hear anyone say anything even mildly insulting about it – ever.
Pain113 says
9 is a mildly good movie in my opinion. It had great features, good plot, but i sorta notice a pattern in the story: the dolls runs, one gets capture=search and rescue mission=one loss of doll=angry lecture from 1. But really, the voice acting was great, but at the ending, i couldnt understand it until today when i just saw it again. 9 has LOADS of potential, but it’s not better than up. I would give this movie a 7/10.

never thought I would see a kid movie where the characters would die violently compared to other deaths in kid movies, which is why I think this movie is great, this comes second to coraline in my favorite animation movies right now.
smbz821 says
some people probably didn’t like this movie because they’re grown up already, I’m 14 and I thought it was great, it’s not all the time you see movies like this, I mean, an animated movie where the characters DIE? my 9 year old sis would cover her eyes if one of the sack people were to die, so it’s not too kid-friendly, a bit darker… but totally enjoyable for her, 8.5/10
smbz821 says
did you know? there was actually a 10th sack person, but he didn’t stay on earth because of how dead it has become, he went to little big planet, so he didn’t have to deal with all the trouble there is down here, he even gave himself a name, Sackboy.

@smbz821 What makes 9 a kid movie? 0_o
GearTier says
@GearTier Its PG-13.
smbz821 says
@GearTier I’m thinking because it’s CG, and normally CG is used for kids movies because it attracts them to it, I also didn’t know it was rated PG-13…
GearTier says
@smbz821 Its definitely not a kid movie, if I was a kid and didn’t like sci-fi steampunk i wouldn’t have wanted to go see it. I understand that CG is attractive to kids but its usually Pixar that has the kid movies.

I absolutely loved 9
hypershadow43 says
I LOVED the movie! There were only a few problems with it though.
1. It was too short! I think they really could have made the movie more intense and deep, and have given it a better ending.
2. The ending SCREAMS for a sequel!
Overall I give it a 7/10
