What is the word on the Blue Ray and the other new DVD players?

Should I still keep buying the current DVDs, or will they end up like vinyl records, and I’ll have to replace them?

My hope is that the new DVD player technologies will support the older format of DVDs.

All of the new DVD technologies support the current DVD standards. You will not HAVE to replace anything, and you will be able to use one player for all.

The New Blue Ray DVD player, will play older DVD types, don’t worry…
Blue Ray uses a finer laser to burn data on new DVD format called blue ray disc.

Since the laser is finer, more data can be put on a single disc, which bring 4.7GB (single layer) to 18 GB (single layer) or something like that!

Your DVD movies, will be of high definition format and as well as latest acoustic techologies in your music and playback sounds.

DVD’s and CD’s will end like the vinyl records did.
Music and movies will be sold in memory cards most probably in SD (secure digital) format.
DVD players will disappear because the new TV’s Will come with a SD card slot and a USB port.

I think you’ll always be able to play the older ones. They are so similar in a lot of ways that’s it’s very easy to continue to support it. Try this site for more info.

EVERYTHING will go to "Video On Demand" or "VOD"…Eventually there’ll be enough BANDWIDTH to send Hi-Def AUDIO and VIDEO straight through the AIR to your COMPUTER and IPOD and whatever they come up with.

NO ONE will buy DISCS anymore…They’ll just DOWNLOAD anything that’s EVER been recorded in MOVIES and MUSIC for a small monthly fee…($19.95/month?).

Just check with all the MOVIE RENTAL STORES…("Hollywood", "Movie Gallery" and "Blockbuster")…They’ve ALREADY invested in VIDEO ON DEMAND before it takes off…They KNOW it’ll put ‘em out of business…Notice how "Blockbuster" has jumped on the "NETFLIX" wagon?
