I get the impression that because of who her parents are that she would not have planned this on purpose as a publicity stunt & just pretended her boyfriend released it without her permission. So how would she cope with that as she always seemed so poised after it was made available everywhere. I did hear that she freaked out in a dvd rental store once as they were selling it there & she threw a tantrum at the staff but that’s about it. I guess her publicist must put her in touch with psychologists that tell her how to handle something like that & what to say in interviews about it. I do imagine though, that privately, she must be pretty devastated. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t like her at all and nor do I like any other bimbo who’s famous for nothing other than being famous and they have no talent to speak of that caused them to be famous. But no one deserves their sex life exposed like that unless they give their permission for the tape to be released.

Advice about my [unexpectedly horrible] Netflix subscription?
For years I have loathed and mocked the idea of Netflix, then recently decided it might be a great deal – BECAUSE of the watch-now streaming to our WII – but now I’m thinking I may have been right after all.
I would not mind some input from YA folks please! – on what to do, since it’s pretty hard to get a good sense of what’s available on Netflix versus what you want. (without spending 6 months worth of /mo. to get the ‘experience’ and then quit, as it seems so many have).
Ok the reason I thought Netflix was so dumb is that movie-watching is, for most of us, a pretty impulse driven thing. I feel like watching a movie today, so I go and rent one. Blockbuster, Hollywood V, and Redbox all adequately meet that need. If I want to pay less for a little smaller selection, I use Redbox. If I want to go bankrupt, I use Blockbuster. If I want a good, balanced deal, I use Hollywoo….Oh wait, they’re closing all their stores. CR@P !!
To me the idea of Netflix was as stupid as saying, I feel like eating a cheeseburger, so I’ll order one now and it will be mailed to me – albeit, surprisingly fast – and 1 or 2 days later, I’ll eat a cheeseburger. Yay!!! Then I’ll have to mail back my wrapper real quick before I can fulfill my next urge in a very, very delayed way….
Then we got a WII, and I already had a wireless connection in my home, so I thought WHOA – if I can watch Netflix stuff instantly anytime (even if they were smart and had a way so you could only watch them one time, which would solve their licensing problem, DUH) – that would be a NO brainer! Pick up the remote and watch a movie.
Forget .99/mo, I and most people I know would pay 3 times that much, if the deal was really what it seemed.
Now I’m in my first Netflix month, and I’m realizing the selection of new releases is like 5 movies. You go to their website to browse New to Watch Instantly, and after paging through pretty much the first page, you’re down to movies that came out 3 years ago.
Does this mean they add about 10 movies a year??? Has it occurred to them how dumb this is? Does anyone watch Netflix watch-instantly for anything other than old / foreign movies? I’m like most people I’ve watched most of the "OLD" movies I want, pretty much I rent things as they are released on DVD – or I’d like to.
the HV in my area closed down, and since blockbuster went nuts with their minimum rental, I’m running out of good options.
Is there an option like Netflix watch-now that I’m missing? I already have a WII, wireless connection, and a willingness to spend as much as -/mo.
Is there any option for me?????????? Has anyone else been equally frustrated by the seemingly-great solution of Netflix, only to find out it is complete crap?
Has anyone used another service to find out it is worth the money? If so what? how much & what software is required?
Hmm, I think the first Oro answer might not have actually read my question.
Netflix has almost NO newer movies to watch instantly – the watch instantly was the only thing valuable about the entire company.
And more details, added after the 2nd answer was posted.
OMG, is NOBODY reading my question correctly. I clearly stated that my issue with Netflix is precisely because the "Watch Now", or "Watch Instantly" feature is so horrible.
Yes I’m familiar with it – but it has virtually nothing in it that came out in the past year.

Somebody please remind about the release of movie rentals?
This is something I have been trying to remember but when it comes to renting movies, isn’t there a deal between Netflix, and i think another movie rental place, and I believe that it is Redbox, where certain movie studios will release it to them for rental 30 days after its release. It is not all of them, I have been noticing, like Disney if they have a new movie being released on dvd, and bluray, Netflix gets them at the same time of its release. And then there are other movies like the Social Network, where they released on dvd, but Netflix and thier customers have to wait 30 days before they get it. I know that the Social Network is out now on dvd, and Netflix has the release date as of 2/8/11. Somebody please remind me if this deal did happen, or if I do just have such a better memory, and if Redbox if they were also apart of this deal as well?

for run-ons comma slices and fragments please
also i need some ideas for a conclusion could you give ideas
this is my topic
In spite of the distractions that Wine mentions in his essay, people still go to the movies. Why? In a short paper of approximately 500 words, explain why people still pay to see movies in theaters instead of – for example – staying home and watching television or playing movies through their VCR’s or DVD players. One possible reason for going out to the movies is to get out of the house for a change. Think of others to add to your paper’s analysis
this is my essay…….
Although going to the movies these days often means we have to tolerate the long lines, high prices for tickets and the occasional rudeness of people, many still flock to the theatres for many reasons. Many movie enthusiasts exist and most go for the newest exciting movie premiering that week while just as many enjoy the social concept of being out with friends as well as the nice large screens and quality sound.
One reason that people go to movie theatres, is that they provide newly released titles before the movie rental stores. Movie theatres allow people to socialize, get out of the house, and enjoy a new movie that, otherwise, would not be able to seen for months until it is released on DVD or blue ray. While some would rather wait for the DVD release, it is possible, with all of the public hype, that vital parts of the movie could be spoiled, and ruin their experience. Meaning they wont have the same experience because they know some parts of the movies. Therefore, viewing a film before in theatres has many benefits.
Another reason may be that people enjoy the social concept of being out with a large amount of friends. Therefore, they find it more interesting and convenient to go to a roomy theater. For example a friend might want to invite a large group a friends to their house, but the problem might be it will be to crowded and noisy in the house. In the other a hand the movie theater provides lots a room and is more enjoyable to socialize with friends. Also she or might have date its most proper to go to a movie theater rather then having a date at their home.
Lastly, the large screen really attracts people to the movie theater. The screen provides a better and fascinating picture then a regular home t.v. Put it like this if action movie that has really good effects is coming out in theaters he or she is going to want to watch in the massive screen because the experience will be more realistic Also the sound is really important when it comes to watching a movie it provides awesome sound. People truly enjoy the movie when it looks realistic. It gives them there money worth.

Im doing an essay about why people stiil like going to the movies?
In spite of the rude behavior of most audiences…What i need help is if you could check this paragraphs for me i went over them but i wanted to see if you could help me make it better
if it has mistakes like run-ons ,fragments.comma slices and so on.. Its suppose to be in 3rd person …
One of the reasons is, theaters get new upcoming movies earlier then movie rentals places. For example if a new movies is being release people are not going to wait several months to see it, they will rather go to the movies and watch it there. She or he is not going to wait for a dvd release that takes time to be out. If they wait for the dvd release changes are friends have told them what the movie is about because of the time it took to be release in dvd or blue ray. Bottom point a person doesn’t like to wait for a movie they want to see.
