Blue Ray Dvd Rental

I may be aging myself, but it seems like not that long ago we were using VHS tapes instead of DVD‘s. Today we have yet another option for our entertainment… Blu-ray. The only problem is that when they come out with a new technology, it seems like it takes them a long time to get older movies converted to that new format. So, you may find that not all the movies you want can be a blue ray dvd rental.

Today, some people use the term Blu- ray and DVD interchangeably. And while not totally accurate, it isn’t that big of a deal. All the top rental places will also have blue ray dvd rental available, though they usually won’t have as big of a selection in Blu-rays as they do in DVD’s simply because DVD’s have been around longer.

Blu-ray is called that because that is precisely what it is. Standard DVD’s work when a red laser reads the information on the disk. With Blu-ray the information is read with a blue-violet laser, hence the name.

Blue Ray Dvd Rental and New Technology Not Always Better

Since the wavelength is shorter, the disk can be read with more precision and that means that more data can be picked up which can produce a sharper picture and more realistic sound.

Since more information can be stored on the same size disk, you can really get great definition and more of that “theater style” sound.

Blu-ray was developed by members of the BDA or Blu-ray Disc Association which is made up of some companies I’m sure you have heard of.

Companies like Sony, Apple, Dell, and Disney to be exact. One of the reasons Blu-ray isn’t even more popular, since it does deliver such exceptional sound and video, is the fact that you do need a different player to watch Blu-ray over a standard DVD player.

Many people are starting to get technology burnout where they have just spent hundreds of dollars for some new technology only to have it either be outdated or at least outdone by something better in a very short time.

Since people may be a little reluctant to invest in yet another player for their entertainment, Blu-ray isn’t quite as popular yet as you may have thought it would be.

If you do decide to get your own Blu-ray player, you can still play DVD’s on it. You can’t play Blu-ray on your DVD player but you can play DVD’s on a Blu-ray player. Confused yet??

Blu-ray players can sell for a wide range of prices, and as with all technologies, the price is coming down. As of this writing a basic Blu-ray player can be bought for as little as $50 online.

All in all, Blu-ray can offer a superior entertainment experience. But, you may find some limitations as to the number of blue ray dvd rental movies you can choose from. More than likely, Blu-ray will continue to expands it’s reach in entertainment and when it does, you will probably have no trouble finding all the movies and shows you want on Blu-ray.

Twilight Dvd Rental Is Everyone Addicted To Twilight

It seems like virtually everyone under the age of 20, and many over the age of 20, are interested in the Twilight saga. Since several of these movies are already out on dvd, you may be wondering where you can get your twilight dvd rental.

Today, you can not only get a twilight dvd rental, but pretty much any movie or game that you want and you will have several options from which to choose.

Here is a brief overview of the various places you can get rentals of dvds. Some of these sites (actually, most of them) will also offer games and Bluerays too.

Each of them will have their own policies about late charges so make sure you fully understand when you have to return the rental and what will happen if it is late.

In most cases you will pay a late fee for every day you have kept the dvd beyond the return date. Some places, will actually charge you the whole price of the dvd if you keep it too long.

Again, it’s important to know so you don’t end up paying a lot of extra fees.

So, here are your options, in no particular order:

1. Netflix. To my knowledge, Netflix is the first company that started sending movies through the mail. You may have seen those familiar red envelopes.

The exact pricing and options may vary, so check to see if this information is still accurate, but the concept is simple:

You sign up for a subscription plan. You have several monthly plans to choose from. One of the main differences between plans is the number of movies you get in a month and the number of movies you can have out at one time.

You will get your own account and you can login any time you want and add movies to your queue. Whenever you send a movie back, they will send out the next movie in your queue.

You don’t have to send all the movies back at the same time. If you have 3 movies out but only send one back, they will send out one more.

There are no due dates and no late fees. The envelope they send the movies in is the same one you send the movies back in so you don’t have to pay any postage.

They also offer some movies that can be streamed right on your computer.

Blockbuster has jumped on the bandwagon and has developed a similar program. One of the biggest differences is that since Blockbuster has stores you can return your movies directly at a store.

Though, according to their website, this can vary from one store to the next so you have to see if it is available in your area.

2. There are also large chains of video rental stores. You can always just go into your local video store and rent a movie or game.

3. Redbox. This is fairly new and it is just what it says it is; a red box. It is similar to a pop machine. You can choose which movies you want to watch, insert your credit or debit card and choose your movie.

It will be dispensed right on the spot, right from the machine. These machines can be found outside (or inside) all types of stores all around the country.

You return your movies right to the Redbox you rented it from.

So, as you can see, there is no shortage of places where you can find a twilight dvd rental, or any other kind of rental for that matter. You just have to choose the option that is right for you.
